Having stylish and attractive label designs are vital for all food manufacturers, not only to catch customer’s eyes and to attract them to the delicious spreads that the glass jar contains, but to inspire the customer to understand the brand values and ethos. We were tasked with coming up with label designs for Devon based, Tim’s Kitchen to showcase all of his unique selection of flavours across his range of jams, spreads and marmalades.
The label design had to be informative, yet stylish while including all of the correct information, including ingredients, weights and sugar contents at the same time as incorporating images on the label design to give a visual image of the contents.
Tim’s Kitchen is a Devon based company that specialises in jams, marmalades and spreads in a variety of over 20 different flavours, owned by Tim Barrs. Tim’s Kitchen has won 3 silvers and 2 bronzes at the World Marmalade Awards, so the pressure was on for the artwork to be equally good as his delicious products.
We designed a whole range of different concepts for each of the different label designs to best suit each of the different products and flavours in Tim’s range, with a variety of different colours and images, using similar layouts to create a perfect uniform finish for such a slick collection.
Defining the relevant information is as crucial as the way it is displayed. We were able to find the perfect balance between images and information to optimise the colours and visuals, at the same time as getting all of the relevant information across to the customers.
Through intelligent print management from our on site print department, we were able to provide a cost effective label printing service for Tim’s Kitchen. Increasing the production speed was also made possible by offering the label printing service to Tim’s Kitchen.
